I had the honour and blessing of capturing Laura and Dom's city chic wedding day! The venue was an old loft in downtown Toronto and their band played a little bit of everything, getting everyone rocking it out on the dance floor. The colour scheme included a lot of white (and various shades of white), woods, and twinkle lights, which sure gives me all the fuzzies!!! It was a minimalist’s (Laura and Dom's) city dream! 



Some of Laura and Dom's favourite moments captured: "I really, really love Dom and I’s 1-1 photos during the cocktail party. After all the family and friends photos were taken, we managed to escape for a more intimate photoshoot. You can really see our love and joy in those photos and they felt very editorial and classy. I also love the spontaneous photos taken immediately after the ceremony - our bridal party and us had so much adrenaline and bottled up energy after the ceremony we immediately exited the building and ran into the bar across the street. We ordered a round of tequila shots and those candid moments between venues were so surprising but so natural. Katie captured the spontaneity of the day just as well as the planned shots. We’ve created photo albums for our parents and grandparents. We’ve also printed some photos for our home. It’s amazing to see and still hard to believe it’s us sometimes! They’re beautiful."

What is some advice for couples to do before or even during your wedding day? "Only work with vendors you truly admire and believe you can trust. There are so many vendors out there that don’t go the extra mile and/or make the wedding planning process feel transactional and like a money suck. You deserve a better experience than that. No matter how much I planned (and it was a lot and very detailed) things still went off plan but I was okay because I knew I trusted the people around me, they had my best interest in mind and I could enjoy the wedding day no matter what. Your vendors truly do make the magic happen."
