Pickering Waterfront Engagement/ Carly + Connor

Snuggles, laughter, and giggles truly make my heart skip a beat, and for Carly and Connor's engagement shoot that was it: encompassed all together with swoon-worthy and heavenly light. I had the wonderful opportunity to capture Carly and Connor's candid and romantic engagement session in early fall at the Pickering Waterfront during the golden hour of sunset. The Pickering Waterfront is one of my favourite spots for engagement photos in Durham Region. It has a great combination of a marina, green space, a village that looks like it came straight out of an East Coast Hallmark movie, a fairly expansive beach, a pier that you walk on, and my favourite: the sunsets are ever so dreamy. It's also easy to get to, has plenty of FREE parking and a number of cool spots to grab a snack (like the Beach Chip Truck, which is sooo yummy), a cup of coffee, or even a cone of ice cream after the shoot.

There are a few downsides to this location in that it can get fairly busy on the weekend (but I know of some nice intimate spots), and on the east side there's Pickering Nuclear. But to be fair, that's never an issue as I almost always shoot towards the sunset (where the sun/light is behind you) and you quickly forget that it's there.

Carly and Connor were an absolute delight to work with. Their easy going, laid back, and loving personalities made for some heart fluttering shots, and I can’t get enough of them!
