INTIMATE CAVE SPRING VINEYARD WEDDING

Lindsay and Michael's wedding day at the oh-so-charming Cave Springs Vineyard in Jordan, Ontario, was an incredible testament to the power of love and the ability to make the best out of any situation.

Despite the rainy forecast, the couple and their guests maintained a laid-back and relaxed energy, resulting in a truly unforgettable celebration. From tearful reveals to bellyaching laughs, frolicking in the vines, and all the beautiful, authentic, and candid moments in between, brace yourselves for this rollercoaster of emotions.

My associate, Ilia, and I began the day at the Inn on The Twenty. While I joined Lindsay and the girls, Ilia hung out with Michael and the boys. Upon entering Lindsay’s room, I was immediately greeted with excitement and positive energy. Lindsay's dress, designed by Mikaela by Paloma Blanca, a Canadian-made, family-owned, and operated business since 1937, was beautifully intricate, featuring laceable removable sleeves that were a delight to photograph.

Lindsay and Michael both cherished authentic moments, allowing me to take on a more photojournalistic approach and be more of a fly on the wall when documenting their special day. Lindsay and Michael's emotional first look on the stairs offered endless possibilities for capturing unique angles and genuine moments. While I've shot over a dozen first looks, this moment truly gave me all the goosebumps and feels. Another cherished moment involved Lindsay and her maid of honor frolicking in the field during the bridal party portraits, highlighting the joy of taking time to enjoy the day and being your true authentic self.

The ceremony was exquisite, with Mackenzie from Fable Floral Studio showcasing her talent in pulling together beautiful details and choosing a soft color palette that perfectly complemented the overall vibe. There were so many lovely and chic details. Lindsay's bouquet, designed with a looser style, added organic movement to the photos, enhancing the already breathtaking setting.

For the reception, the couple opted to spend their cocktail hour with their guests before slipping away for a golden hour shoot, enjoying a moment away from the crowd. Despite Michael's initial shyness in front of the camera, he let loose during this intimate shoot, twirling Lindsay into a beautiful dip—a moment that left me feeling proud.

The reception, held in a charming barn lit by natural light from barn windows and candles, exuded a soft and intimate vibe. Sweet speeches elicited cheers, smiles, and belly laughs from the bride and groom, creating a memorable atmosphere. In the end, everyone had a chance to let loose and have fun, with both hilarious and emotional speeches leaving not a dry eye in the house.
